Logistic Simulation

The classic beer game (BeerGame) is a business game created by John Sterman from the MIT Sloan School of Management in the 1960s. Its purpose is to simulate supply chain behavior in a marketplace with fluctuating demand. Game participants fulfill orders from customer accounts. There are several versions of the game available including the original board game to more contemporary online versions.

We focus on solutions with immediate feedback to participants

You have all the information you need about consumer demand. You know for sure that demand will grow in the second week of the simulation by 50% due to marketing investment. The demand will remain constant following that through the end of the year. Your goal is to meet demand ensuring that supply is sufficient (i.e. inventory). To perform this task, you will have up to 50 weeks. This task can be harder than you think!

We have everything you need to use

The OGG customized a free access version for individual use and quick application. A board game version is also available for use in executive training and classrooms.
